Double Your Impact and Expand the Safety Net for Young People!
This November, please consider a gift to help My Friend's Place raise $100,000 to secure an additional $100,000 in matching funds to support the expansion of our weekly drop in center hours by 20%! More drop in center hours means more transformative care, resources and opportunities for the young people of My Friend’s Place.
The recent " Somewhere to Exist" report published by the RAND Corporation highlights the importance of increasing the availability of services offered through drop-in centers as a primary strategy for supporting the immediate and long-term well-being of individuals experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles.
For 35 years, the drop in center here at My Friend's Place has been providing young people experiencing homelessness with vital care, including food, clothing, showers, as well as connection to more intensive services such as case management, education and employment services and housing support. Equally as important, My Friend's Place offers young people like Brian a space and a place in which to be seen, heard, loved and cared for by a community committed to these young people's healing, growth, learning and thriving.
Please make your gift online here today! Thanks to the generous support of The Balay Ko Foundation, all contributions up to $100,000 will be matched through November 30th!
