An Update on Programming at My Friend's Place

September 10th, 2021

As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, My Friend's Place has embraced an innovative service model that allows us to safely serve nearly 100 youth each week. Recognizing that we serve both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, we offer a hybrid of indoor and outdoor services including:

  • Provision of food, clothing, shoes and hygiene supplies
  • Showers and restroom access
  • Employment workshops and support
  • Housing case management
  • Support with animal companions
  • Assistance with procuring personal documentation (birth certificates, ID's etc)
  • Computer access
  • Art workshops

Additionally, we continue to provide to-go meals and hygiene supplies to adult community members at our front gate as we have done throughout the pandemic. We are incredibly grateful to our remarkable community of supporters who have stepped up throughout the past year and a half to make sure that we are well resourced with everything we need to provide safe services to the amazing youth and adults we serve.

If you are interested in supporting programming for youth at My Friend's Place by donating needed items such as snack packs, hygiene supplies, supplies for animal companions or something else, please contact Susan Dutra at sdutra@myfriendsplace.org.
